Boulder-based Zayo has built its global bandwidth footprint largely through acquisition – first consolidating “fiber orphans” and more recently, making strategic acquisitions to build its infrastructure capabilities. Now nearly 10 years past startup, the company has made 38 acquisitions, including a number of acquisitions made during the market collapse of 2008-2009.
